FOR ADOLESCENTS & TEENS

Adolescent & Teen
Therapy in Austin,
Westlake Hills, & Bee Cave, TX

Grounded, compassionate support for teens finding their footing in a complicated world.

THE TEEN YEARS ARE HARD

And So Is Watching
Them Struggle

Adolescence is one of the most significant periods of identity formation in a person's life. Teens today face academic pressure, social dynamics, digital overwhelm, family stress, and the quiet, often unspoken question of

who am I, really?

Sometimes that shows up as anxiety, depression, withdrawal, irritability, defiance, or a low-grade sense of being stuck. Sometimes it looks like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or a teenager who seems "fine" — but isn't.

HOW WE WORK WITH TEENS

Relational First.
Always.

Therapy with adolescents at Luminous Pathways is relational first. That means we meet teens where they are — not where we think they should be. Our environment of radical safety is especially important here: every part of a young person's experience is honored without judgment.

We draw from various frameworks and modalities to build life-long skills and create effective change — a relational, conversational approach that builds genuine trust. Krystal has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, their families, and school systems.

A NOTE FOR PARENTS

We work collaboratively with families while protecting the therapeutic relationship teens need to do real work. Parental involvement is discussed and structured during the intake process.

IS THIS THE RIGHT FIT?

Teen therapy here may be a good fit if your teen is:

Anxious or withdrawn

Struggling to manage emotions, or pulling back from the people and things they used to love.

Experiencing depression or disconnection

Low motivation, numbness, or a quiet sense that things aren't right.

Navigating identity or stress

Working through questions of self, relationships, family dynamics, or big life transitions.

Ready to understand themselves

Curious about their inner world and open to doing real work — with the right support.

High-achieving but burning out

Looks fine on the outside — but something underneath isn't adding up.

Struggling with social media or digital life

Caught in comparison, screen overwhelm, or a sense of self that shifts depending on the feed.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

No pressure. Just a conversation about your teen, what's going on, and whether we're the right fit.
